Healthy Holiday Gift Ideas

Here are some companies, products and brands that can make creative, useful, thoughtful, healthy holiday gifts for the health conscious and environmentally conscious person on your gift list.

www.webstaurantstore.com This is not a healthy website but a website for kitchen and restaurant supplies. But you can find items like kitchen aid mixers, large mixing bowls, food processors and more at good prices on here.

www.vitamix.com These are high quality blenders that are great for breaking up tough ingredients for healthy green smoothies and healthy soups. It can be used for many other recipes as well such as spreads, dips, nut milks and more.  Look for refurbished to save money.

www.vitalseafoodchoice.com Quality seafood that is free of toxins and GMO’s.  The downside is the plastic packaging that they come in.  But if you want to treat someone to quality seafood this is a great place to order from.  Otherwise, if in the Denver, CO area, try www.northeastseafood.com A great place to use for seafood too if you are having a large event!

www.orawellness.com This company offers products for healthy gums and teeth.

http://www.duasporaco.com This company sells organic in season heirloom turmeric from India.  If you make golden milk, use turmeric in cooking or want to take a quality turmeric for inflammation, pain, depression, then take a look at this site.

www.hammernutrition.com This site has vegan protein bars, whey protein bars, protein powders and much more. These are clean products that make a great gift for the athlete in your life.  I personally like their electrolyte product.

www.berkeyfilters.com I have two Berkey’s. One in my bathroom and one in the kitchen. It removes all the chemicals from your water.  You will even notice the taste difference.  Get rid of the plastic water bottles and fill bottles with Berkey water to have for your day.  I also use their Berkey filtered water bottle for when I travel. (the downside is that it is plastic but for traveling-even to third world countries-it works great-didn’t get sick drinking water in Thailand!).  I also use their shower head filter.

If you don’t want to spend the money on a Berkey, anther great gift is a filtered water pitcher, and no not a Brita and please don’t buy anyone one of those.  The water pitcher that I recommend is www.clearlyfiltered.com

www.butcherbox.com I prefer getting grass fed/grass finished beef always locally but ordering online as a gift may be much more practical.  If you are in the Douglas County, Colorado area, I recommend this ranch, https://lonesomepinecattlecompany.com/ for grass fed beef.  You can buy a quarter, half or whole.  He is taking order now for 2019.

https://www.shopetee.com/pages/reusable-food-wraps-etee-cb Beeswax reusable wraps to take the place of plastic wrap and tin foil.  These are great instead of toxic products that we all use daily in our homes.  I believe www.grommet.com also has a bees wax wrap product too.

www.mygreenfills.com I have been buying healthier cleaning and laundry products, but I am growing increasingly concerned over the plastic waste that is happening all over the world and impacting our environment.  I like this product because you get the plastic jug of non-toxic laundry detergent one time and then a refill packet after that to cut back on plastic waste.

www.trufoodsnutrition.com Yes, my site. Consults for dietary and health issues.  For a raw, paleo granola (makes a great holiday gift for teachers, sitters, customers etc.), professional grade supplements and a weekly newsletter with useful health and nutrition information and recipes.  Gift certificates available for consults, food demos for groups, group presentations, grocery outings, pantry makeovers and personalized cooking classes.

www.blacklabcustomwood.com Cutting boards and butcher blocks custom made (by my husband).  He makes these to custom order with different types of wood options, peg legs, juice catcher option, Ipad ledge option (my favorite b/c I’m always trying to look at a recipe on my iPad) and other features.

www.mountainrose.com loose tea blends.  I always prefer loose tea over bagged tea to reap the full herbal benefits.

www.treetribe.com wallets, journals and bags made from fallen tree leaves in Thailand.  They make cool and environmentally friendly gifts.

www.solarganix.com  and www.parachutehome.com Organic sheets and towels

http://wearpact.com and http://synergyclothing..com for organic cotton clothing and Wear Pact also has organic bedding.

www.lifewithoutplastic.com Lunch boxes, non-plastic containers, and much more that would make cute and environmentally friendly gifts.  Get rid of the plastic!

www.directlabs.com and other lab tests such as OAT and GI Map. Some people with health issues do need testing that is outside the scope of their traditional western medicine doctor but can’t afford it. What a great treat-to purchase a test for someone so that they can start to find out why they feel crummy.  If you are not sure what test to purchase as a health gift, you can ask me.

www.domatcha.com Quality Matcha green tea. Not all Matcha teas are created equal and some are of poor quality.  This is a trusted company for quality Matcha tea.

www.radiantlyrawkitchen.com This place located in Colorado Springs, CO sells raw, non -GMO chocolates and use organic ingredients.  They have gift boxes for the holidays.

http://shop.punkrawklabs.net raw dairy free “cheese”. They have gift boxes to make great holiday gifts for the dairy free person in your life.
